We start in our Office in Sheraton Street with adjusting the bicycle for your height. Comfort is very important before starting this approx. 19,5km cycle tour.

Then you and our tour leader cycle to the national Ferry (about 1km) and cross the Nile river to the small town of 'El Gezira' on the Westbank of the Nile.

First we arrive at the Colossi of Memnon, after this you arrive at the central ticket office where you can buy the tickets for the places you like to visit. By law it is not allowed for our tour leader to be your official guide within the temples. Every site has its own guides. However he can assist you in finding a guide upon your request, or can try to convince local people to let you see more then normal tourist can. If you want this tour with our egyptologist, there is no need fo any additional guides.

If you want Lunch or a snack, the best places to do this is in El Gizera, New Qurna or other small villages. Much cheaper then close to the Ancientsites.

In this tour, you and your party is in charge with your own time. If you want our tour leader can give you some additional suggestions. .

When you crossed the ferry and arrived on the other side, cycle first to the Checkpoint than follow the road. You will arrive at the colosses of Memnon these statues were once in front of the great temple of "millions of years" from  Amenhotep III (18th dynasty) and grandfather of Tutankhamen.

Just after the colossen Memnon is a crossroad here you need turn right. Here you will see the central ticketoffice. Tickets for the tombs of Roy and Saroy (Near Valley of King) need to be bought here.

At this point you can choose to visit the valley of the Noble's, workers and Queens.

 

Also you can visit the amazing Medinat Haboe (temple). Tickets for this site you can buy at the gate of this complex.  Also this is an ideal resting point for some drinks or beverages.

It is our experience that cyclers like this temple, and sometimes they forget, it is just the first of many.
